The Quebec household of Saudi blogger Raif Badawi says he has been launched from Saudi jail, 10 years after he was jailed for criticizing non secular figures and selling liberal views of Islam.

Ensaf Haidar, Badawi’s spouse, confirmed the information to Radio-Canada.

“After 10 years in jail, Raif is free!” Haidar tweeted, Friday.

Badawi’s household had been anticipating his release, as his 10 yr sentence had been served in full, as of Feb. 28.
