Overnight snowfall delays P.E.I. school opening

Public faculties on P.E.I. are delaying opening for one hour whereas crews work to clear an in a single day snowfall.

The snowfall was not heavy, however drifts are protecting the roads in some areas and blowing snow is inflicting visibility points.

“It’s blowing and no matter fell final evening, due to these winds, wherever from 20 gusting up about to about 50 to 60 km/h, it is actually blowing round that snow. That can cut back the visibility is a few areas,” mentioned CBC meteorologist Tina Simpkin.

Flurries will proceed this morning and even perhaps into the afternoon.

Plows are out in most elements of the province. Poor visibility have been retaining them off some secondary roads in Prince County earlier than daybreak.
