CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Prince Edward Island authorities is ramping up efforts to fight violence towards girls with a big enhance in funding for the violence towards girls prevention grant.

The grant, which beforehand stood at $75,000, has been elevated to $300,000 to help neighborhood organizations in launching and enhancing tasks geared toward elevating consciousness, offering training and taking motion to forestall violence towards girls on the Island.

The grant theme for 2023 facilities on sexual violence prevention and response, though all types of gender-based violence prevention proposals might be thought-about.
