MURRAY HARBOUR, P.E.I. — A Murray Harbour councillor who put up an indication on his property that referred to as the invention of mass graves at former residential colleges a “hoax” and referred to as for the redemption of “Sir John A’s integrity” has allegedly refused to apologize or resign.

Terry White, mayor of Murray Harbour, informed SaltWire on Oct. 6 that he met with Coun. John Robertson about resigning however the councillor has declined, saying it’s a “CBC agenda.”

White stated, “He has his opinion on it, I had my very own opinion on it, only a bunch of gibberish.”

The mayor stated Robertson’s opinion doesn’t characterize the views of different councillors or himself. The mayor and different council members shall be assembly the night of Oct. 6, to debate and signal a petition to start a third-party investigation into the violation of the code of conduct.
