How hunger is a weapon in the war in Ukraine

The devastation of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is being felt far past the entrance strains of the conflict. 

Greater than 20 million tonnes of Ukrainian grain exports are being blocked by Russia within the Black Sea — a significant commerce route that provides thousands and thousands of individuals in North Africa and the Center East; many countries in these areas now face excessive meals shortages and potential famine. 

We clarify how Ukraine, typically known as the “breadbasket of Europe,” is getting used as a chess piece within the conflict and what could be achieved to resolve this rising disaster.
