Former Cape Breton Eagles players still soaring at U Sports level

SYDNEY, N.S. – Twenty-six former Cape Breton Eagles gamers are persevering with their hockey careers on the college degree in U Sports activities this season.

Liam Kidney and Peyton Hoyt are suiting up for the Acadia College, whereas Émile Hegarty-Aubin, Gabriel Proulx, Isiah Campbell, Kyle Havlena, Marcus Tesink, Phelix Martineau, Sean Larochelle and Tyler Hylland are members of the Concordia program.

Dillon Boucher, Jarrett Baker, and Shaun Miller are suiting up for Dalhousie College, whereas Zachary Fortin is attending Lakehead College. Jordan Ty Fournier and Nathan Larose are with the McGill College program.

Declan Smith and Roddie Sandilands are taking part in for St. Francis Xavier College, Mark Rumsey is a part of Saskatchewan College, and Ross MacDougall and Adam McCormick are sporting the colors of the College of New Brunswick.

Ian Smallwood and Logan Kelly-Murphy are taking part in with the College of Prince Edward Island, together with Eskasoni’s Leon Denny. Felix Lafrance, Samuel L’Italien and William Grimard are with the Université de Trois-Rivières.

In whole, 192 Quebec Main Junior Hockey League alumni are taking part in in U Sports activities in 2022-23.
