CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Authorities and stakeholders have appointed 5 girls to the College of Prince Edward Island’s board of governors.
The brand new appointees, all Island residents, embody Lynn Ellsworth of Granville, Mary Robinson of Albany, Pam Montgomery of Stanley Bridge, and Carolyn Simpson and Mary Anne McMahon of Charlottetown.
“These are 5 distinctively sturdy girls with over 100 years of mixed expertise in post-secondary training, company governance and group service,” Jenn Redmond, minister of workforce, superior studying and inhabitants, famous in a launch.
The varsity’s board of governors consists of 26 members appointed by the province, the present board, the alumni affiliation, in addition to the senate, school and scholar physique.
Appointees serve three-year phrases.
Purposes for brand spanking new members are being accepted until Oct. 20.
