Arrest warrant issued for Charlottetown woman in connection with fatal vehicle crash

HOPE RIVER, P.E.I. — An arrest warrant is out for a 27-year-old Charlottetown girl charged with harmful driving inflicting demise associated to a deadly automotive crash in Hope River in October 2022.

The 2-vehicle collision occurred round 7 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2022, on Route 224. The incident claimed the lifetime of a 47-year-old man from New Glasgow, P.E.I., who was the only real occupant of a automotive that was hit by an SUV.

The motive force of the SUV, recognized by police as Priyanka Jom, was taken to the hospital with accidents believed to be non-life-threatening on the time.

Following an investigation, the Queens District RCMP has charged Jom with harmful operation of a motorcar inflicting demise. The warrant for her arrest was issued on April 25, 2023.
