Woman facing impaired driving and drug charges after officer checks on parked car in Summerside

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A Charlottetown-area lady is dealing with drug-impaired driving and drug trafficking costs after a police officer observed an individual who appeared unconscious behind the wheel of a parked automotive in Summerside.

The car was checked by a member of the Summerside Police Providers in a Water Sreet East parking zone simply after 3 a.m. on Sept. 3.

Police mentioned the officer famous the car was operating, and the particular person behind the wheel appeared unconscious.

The motive force confirmed indicators of impairment when talking with the officer, police mentioned, and he or she was arrested.

A search of the lady and car then turned up what police mentioned was a major amount of suspected cocaine.
