Veterinary Medicine Courses: 295 to choose from
At the least 294 veterinary drugs programs are delivered exterior of Eire that allow graduates to register with the VCI (Veterinary Council of Eire).

Routes of entry to the VCI Register of Veterinary Practitioners
A spokesperson for the council instructed That’s Farming editor, Catherina Cunnane:
“With the intention to be registered on the Register of Veterinary Practitioners, you should maintain a qualification in veterinary drugs that’s recognised for the aim of registration by the Veterinary Council.”
“{Qualifications} in veterinary drugs that aren’t recognised by the Veterinary Council for the aim of registration don’t entitle an individual to be registered to observe within the state.”
The beneath classes of {qualifications} could also be routinely recognised by the Veterinary Council for the aim of registration:
- i) {Qualifications} awarded by universities in Eire which can be accredited by the Veterinary Council of Eire;
- ii) {Qualifications} awarded in EU member States listed in Annex V level 5.4.2 of Directive 2005/36/EC;
iii) {Qualifications} awarded by universities that maintain full accreditation/approval standing with the European Affiliation of Institutions for Veterinary Schooling (EAEVE);
- iv) {Qualifications} awarded by universities in the UK which can be accredited by the Royal school of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS);
- v) {Qualifications} awarded after September 20th, 2007 by universities accredited by the American Veterinary Drugs Affiliation (AVMA), the place the applicant can present proof of a passing rating within the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
