US winger De la Fuente to Olympiakos on loan from Marseille

MARSEILLE, France (AP) — American ahead Konrad de la Fuente has joined Greek membership Olympiakos on a season-long mortgage from Marseille, the groups mentioned Saturday.

The 21-year-old winger struggled with enjoying time in France and had season-ending knee surgical procedure in early April. He completed with one purpose and three assists in 23 appearances.

Common enjoying time in Greece may present De la Fuente with a chance to earn a roster spot with the USA for the World Cup, which begins Nov. 20.

De la Fuente, who’s from Miami, made his U.S. nationwide workforce debut in November 2020 in an exhibition at Wales. He performed for the People on the 2019 Underneath-20 World Cup.

He signed a four-year contract with Marseille final summer season after becoming a member of from Barcelona.
