Ukraine receives $1.7 billion in new financial assistance – PM

KYIV (Reuters) – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal thanked the USA on Tuesday for its “unimaginable help” after Ukraine acquired an extra $1.7-billion in worldwide monetary help.

Shmyhal confirmed receipt of a grant which he mentioned on Saturday would come from a Single-Donor Belief Fund created by the World Financial institution’s Worldwide Financial institution for Reconstruction, the Worldwide Improvement Affiliation and the USA Company for Worldwide Improvement (USAID).

“Grateful to U.S. & @POTUS (U.S. President Joe Biden) for unimaginable help,” he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

He mentioned on Saturday the non-refundable grant had been agreed “as a consequence of Russia’s large-scale aggression towards Ukraine” and would go in direction of state price range prices for medical companies.
