Ukraine must not be pressured into a bad peace deal, says UK PM Johnson
LONDON (Reuters) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy should not be pressured by world powers into accepting a foul peace cope with Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson informed his high crew of ministers on Tuesday.
On the cupboard assembly, British international minister Liz Truss additionally stated London was readying additional sanctions towards Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, Johnson’s spokesman informed reporters.
Johnson, who survived a confidence vote introduced by his lawmakers on Monday, informed his ministers Britain would “stay on the forefront” of help for Ukraine, the spokesman added.
“He stated it was important that President Zelenskiy was not pressured into accepting a foul peace, noting that dangerous peace offers don’t final. He stated the world should keep away from any final result the place Putin’s unwarranted aggression seems to have paid off,” the spokesman stated.
