UK competition watchdog to probe LSEG takeover of Quantile
LONDON (Reuters) – Britain’s competitors watchdog will conduct an investigation into the London Inventory Change’s acquisition of Quantile Group, it stated on Tuesday.
LSEG stated in December it had acquired Quantile for as much as 274 million kilos ($338.64 million) to increase its vary of post-trade danger administration options to banks, hedge funds and monetary establishments buying and selling derivatives.
The Competitors and Markets Authority stated that following an evaluation of proposed undertakings by the 2 companies, it had determined to refer the merger for an “in-depth investigation”.
