Two Stratford men charged in relation to property fraud

STRATFORD, P.E.I. — Police in P.E.I. have arrested and charged two Stratford males with fraud in relation to rental and building scams.

On Sept. 22, Stratford RCMP executed a search warrant at a house in Stratford and arrested two males in reference to seven fraud schemes spanning from April to September.

Kelly Giroux has been charged with eight counts of fraud involving seven incidents of fraudulently taking cash for rental properties and building work.

Police stated the overall cash misplaced by victims is slightly below $50,000.

A second man was additionally arrested and is predicted to be charged with two counts of fraud.

Giroux was saved in police custody for a courtroom listening to on Sept. 25.

The second man will seem in courtroom at a later date.
