Two men arrested in connection with assault in Abram-Village, P.E.I.

ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — Two arrests have been made following a Sept. 3 assault in Abram-Village, Cpl. Nick Doyle confirmed in a cellphone name with SaltWire Community.
Two males had been arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and have since been launched.
The assault, which occurred within the Évangéline parking zone following a dance locally, put two males, 28 and 39, within the hospital. They’ve since been launched.
In a written assertion on Sept. 4, La Coopérative d’intégration francophone (CIF) confirmed that the 2 victims had been a CIF worker and shopper.
The CIF condemned the assault as an “act of racist violence.”
A press launch from the RCMP on Sept. 6 confirmed that 5 individuals had been concerned within the incident.
The investigation continues to be ongoing, Doyle mentioned, including that the RCMP expects additional arrests.
The police are nonetheless asking for witnesses who might have seen the occasion or have any video to come back ahead with info.
