Two Iranian pilots killed after F7 jet crashes – IRNA

DUBAI (Reuters) – Two Iranian pilots died after their F7 fighter jet crashed on Tuesday close to Anarak, 200 km (124 miles) east of town of Isfahan, Iran’s official IRNA information company reported.

“The jet’s mission was to follow capturing however there was an accident at 8:30 a.m.,” an official from Isfahan province advised IRNA.

Consultants say Iran has a poor air security report, with repeated crashes, many involving plane purchased earlier than the 1979 Islamic Revolution and missing spare components for upkeep.

In February, an F5 jet utilized by the Iranian navy crashed into the wall of a faculty within the northwestern metropolis of Tabriz, killing the 2 pilots and an individual on the bottom.
