Toronto FC’s Lorenzo Insigne to take part in MLS all-star skills challenge

Newly arrived Toronto FC winger Lorenzo Insigne will participate within the MLS All-Star Expertise Problem, a part of the festivities surrounding the Aug. 10 recreation between the MLS and Liga MX all-stars at Minnesota United’s Allianz Discipline.

Insigne and 9 different MLS gamers will compete Aug. 9 towards 10 Liga MX gamers over 5 expertise — a taking pictures problem, contact problem, cross and volley problem, passing problem and crossbar problem. Insigne will likely be joined by fellow newcomer Hector Herrera of the Houston Dynamo, the Mexican nationwide group captain who like Insigne got here to MLS in the course of the league’s secondary switch window that opened July 7.

The opposite eight MLS gamers within the expertise problem are every all-stars, together with Canadian goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair of Minnesota United.

Insigne, a former Napoli captain, has but to take the sphere for Toronto due to a calf problem. The hope is he’ll make his debut, together with fellow Italian Federico Bernardeschi, towards visiting Charlotte FC on Saturday.
