Three U.S. House Democrats seek documents from Amazon on labor practices

(Reuters) – Three U.S. Home Democrats together with the chair of the Oversight Committee on Friday requested Amazon.com to show over paperwork detailing Amazon’s labor practices particularly throughout extreme climate.

“We’re involved by current experiences that Amazon could also be placing the well being and security of its staff in danger, together with by requiring them to work in harmful circumstances throughout tornadoes, hurricanes, and different excessive climate,” wrote Representatives Carolyn Maloney, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Cori Bush. They need Amazon to supply paperwork detailing terminations or disciplinary actions in opposition to workers or contractors on the Amazon services in a variety of areas by April 14.
