Temporary housing for homeless people in Charlottetown delayed till end of month
Non permanent housing for individuals experiencing homelessness in Charlottetown will not be prepared till the tip of the month, a pair weeks later than the province had hoped.
About two months in the past, Housing Minister Matthew MacKay introduced plans to accumulate and arrange cell housing on Park Avenue at a value of about $1.2 million.
He initially mentioned the units would be ready by mid-November to get individuals off the streets by the point chilly climate arrived. Building is underway, however MacKay now estimates the housing will not be prepared till the tip of this month.
