B.C. man in hospital on 24th day of hunger strike against old-growth logging

A British Columbia man says he was briefly hospitalized on the twenty fourth day of a starvation strike to protest old-growth logging however that he plans to go with out meals till the top of the month.

Sixty-eight-year-old Howard Breen says he spent three hours in a Nanaimo hospital after what he calls a loss of life watch group famous he had blurred imaginative and prescient, lack of steadiness and again ache across the kidneys.

He says a health care provider and his daughter, a cardiac nurse, suggested medical therapy late final night time and that an ambulance took him to hospital early this morning.

Breen, a member of the group Save Previous Development, says Forests Minister Katrine Conroy spoke with him and one other man now into his thirty first day of a starvation strike.

However he says the decision on Friday ended with out the minister agreeing to a Zoom assembly that will be recorded for the general public to entry.

Breen says activists will now give attention to escalating motion in opposition to the federal government and can present up at a Council of Forest Industries convention in Vancouver this week to attempt to make a so-called citizen’s arrest of Conroy.
