KUMPULA, Vera Elma (née Marchbank) – Obituary – Barrie

Vera handed away peacefully at dwelling in her 92nd 12 months to be together with her Saviour on February 18, 2022, whereas surrounded with love. Vera was born and raised in Prince Edward Island the place she met and married an enthralling Finn named Lauri (Larry) Viljo Kumpula in 1945. Vera, a hairdresser and Larry, a flight engineer within the army, left the Island and had three kids, Gloria (predeceased), Allan (predeceased) and Brenda. That they had a robust and loving relationship till 1983 when Larry went to be with the Lord whereas in Vera’s arms. Later in life, Vera taught Sunday faculty and labored for the Purple Cross for twenty years caring for a lot of sufferers who benefitted from her kindness, Christian love and intelligence. Vera’s dad and mom have been J. Webster Marchbank and Elma Prescilla Marchbank (Sellick). Webster and Elma had 5 kids, Keir, Melvin, Doris, Wilda and the youngest Vera.
