CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Parks Canada is asking guests P.E.I. Nationwide Park guests to remain out of the water resulting from harmful surf situations Thursday, Aug 10.
Rip currents are a hazard on P.E.I. seashores, forming when waves break close to the shoreline. The hazard is when swimmers develop into trapped within the fast present and are swept offshore.
