Struggling Spanish club Mallorca hires Mexican coach Aguirre
MADRID (AP) — Struggling Spanish membership Mallorca employed veteran Mexican coach Javier Aguirre on Thursday.
Aguirre arrives with the purpose of saving Mallorca from relegation with 9 rounds to go within the Spanish league.
The membership owned by American businessman Robert Sarver sits in 18th place with 26 factors, one from security.
Aguirre, who coached México’s nationwide crew throughout two separate stints, had been fired by Mexican membership Monterrey in February.
He has huge expertise within the Spanish league, having beforehand coached Osasuna, Atlético Madrid, Zaragoza, Espanyol and Leganés.
The 63-year-old Aguirre replaces Luis García Plaza, who was fired after the crew misplaced at Espanyol on Sunday to slid into the relegation zone.
Mallorca has misplaced six video games in a row and hasn’t received since a house victory in opposition to Athletic Bilbao in February.
