Man arrested in connection with armed robbery at Charlottetown business

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown police have arrested a 31-year-old man in reference to an armed theft at a enterprise on College Avenue on Nov. 18.

Officers had been referred to as to the theft at round 6:15 p.m. Police mentioned a person entered the enterprise armed with a pair of scissors, opened the money register and took cash out of the until. 

He left with out additional interacting with employees. Though shaken up by the incident, police mentioned no staff had been injured. 

Video footage from the incident was used to determine a suspect who was identified to officers. 

The suspect was situated Saturday night and arrested.

He has been charged with theft and breach of probation and was remanded in custody.

The accused is scheduled to seem in provincial court docket on Thursday.
