Slovak president appoints new ministers in minority government

(Reuters) – Slovak President Zuzana Caputova appointed new ministers on Tuesday to Prime Minister Eduard Heger’s cupboard after a junior coalition celebration stop final week in a long-running feud, costing the federal government its majority.

The brand new ministers will not be more likely to alter the nation’s course because it continues supporting its neighbour Ukraine in opposition to Russia’s aggression, and battles hovering power costs.

Heger’s authorities misplaced majority within the 150-seat parliament final week because the liberal SaS celebration walked away after months of clashes with Heger’s celebration chief and Finance Minister Igor Matovic.

Caputova appointed profession diplomat Rastislav Kacer as overseas minister, power skilled Karel Hirman as financial system minister, and lawyer Viliam Karas as justice minister.
