Seven candidates vying for Summerside’s Ward 3 byelection

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — It’s gearing as much as be a crowded byelection race for Summerside’s Ward 3.

As of the Could 12 deadline, Elections P.E.I. counts seven candidates vying to characterize the Summerside-North ward.

The candidates

The candidates embody Lisa Bradshaw, Nicholas Cameron, Arlene Desroches, Krista Hickey, Patrick McMahon, Pete Peters and Gordie Whitlock. 

Residents will go to the polls on Could 29.

The byelection was known as following the resignation of Barb Ramsay, who efficiently claimed District 22, Summerside-South Drive within the April provincial election. 

In the course of the November 2022, municipal election Ramsay was uncontested in Ward 3.
