A Vancouver Island First Nation says the primary part of scanning for unmarked graves has begun on the grounds of a former residential college close to Port Alberni, B.C.
The Tseshaht First Nation says the challenge on the former web site of the Alberni Indian Residential Faculty started Monday and can take about two weeks.
The assertion says youngsters from not less than 100 First Nations throughout British Columbia attended the varsity whereas it operated from 1900 to 1973.
