Russia continues to storm Azovstal, says Ukraine

(Reuters) – Ukraine’s navy command stated on Saturday that Russia was persevering with its assault on the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol.

“With the assist of artillery and tank fireplace, (the enemy) is constant storming actions,” it wrote in a daily night Fb briefing.

Ukraine says many civilians stay trapped on the plant alongside Ukrainian troops. Earlier on Saturday, Russia’s Interfax information company cited Moscow-backed separatists in Ukraine’s Donetsk area as saying that fifty extra folks had been evacuated from the besieged steelworks.

By 1600 GMT, Reuters journalists had not seen any signal of their arrival at a reception centre in separatist-controlled territory close to Mariupol.
