RCMP say 1 dead, 4 injured after SUV and pickup truck collided in southern Alberta on Saturday

One man has died and 4 different folks have been injured in a collision between an SUV and a pickup truck in southern Alberta on Saturday.

Vulcan RCMP stated its officers together with hearth companies personnel attended the two-vehicle collision which occurred on the intersection of Freeway 23 and Freeway 529 on July 16 at round 5:25 p.m.

RCMP stated a pickup truck was travelling south on Freeway 23 when it was struck on the motive force’s aspect by a westbound SUV that was travelling on Freeway 529.

A 55-year-old man, who was the one occupant of the truck, was pronounced useless on scene.

The 34-year-old driver of the SUV, together with two younger kids who have been travelling within the again seat, have been taken to Calgary hospitals, officers stated.

A 3rd passenger, a 33-year-old girl, was airlifted to hospital by STARS. Police stated her situation was not referred to as of Monday night time.

The collision brought about a street closure that lasted for a number of hours whereas the RCMP collision reconstructionist was on scene.
