Rays’ Margot, Kiermaier hurt; injured list likely for both
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay Rays outfielders Manuel Margot and Kevin Kiermaier left Monday evening’s 4-2 loss to the New York Yankees with accidents and are possible headed to the injured listing.
Margot sprained his proper knee within the ninth inning, crashing into the fitting area wall whereas chasing an RBI triple by Aaron Hicks. Margot was taken off the sphere on a cart after Josh Donaldson scored on the play.
“It doesn’t look good,” supervisor Kevin Money stated, including that he expects Margot to overlook “vital time.”
It will likely be Margot’s second journey to the injured listing this season. He beforehand missed eight video games with a proper hamstring pressure.
Kiermaier left the sport after putting out within the second inning on Gerrit Cole’s 98 mph fastball. His harm was described as left hip irritation.
Money stated the hip has been bothering Kiermaier for a number of video games.
