Rainbow Tapestries by Judit Just Layer Cut and Tufted Yarns into Textured Patches

Asheville-based artist Judit Simply of jujujust (beforehand) transforms twisted ropes, skeins of cotton, and plush, carpet-like tufts into roving, summary tapestries. Suspended from skinny picket dowels painted to match their hanging counterparts, the sculptural textiles are likely to swell in amorphous patches and curved strains earlier than falling into thick patches of fringe. Simply’s shade palettes parallel the distinction in textures, with delicate, pastel tones alongside vivid, neon-like hues.
The artist is at present engaged on a large-scale tapestry for Culture Object, which opens on Could 10 at Tradition Object, and plans to launch new items in her shop this Friday. See extra of her course of on Instagram.
