Public Schools Branch fall by-election cancelled, Zone 7 trustee position named

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Jocelyne Ludgate is taking on the trustee place for the Public Colleges Department’s Zone 7 after the upcoming fall by-election was known as off. 

Elections P.E.I. chief electoral officer Tim Garrity mentioned the by-election was cancelled after one of many two candidates operating for the Zone 7 trustee place withdrew from the race. 

With Adam Drake resigning from competition, Ludgate will slot into the position as the one different operating candidate. 

The eligible voters who utilized for the mail-in ballots shall be contacted and knowledgeable of the cancellation, and no ballots shall be despatched out.
