Province unveils new license plates
CANADA, November 16 – The province of Prince Edward Island is introducing a brand new design for its license plates and for the primary time, there will likely be a definite plate for electrical autos.
“It has been virtually a decade since Prince Edward Island launched a brand new license plate design and it’s time for a refresh. The standard, easy design will enable larger visibility as we begin moving into 6-digit numbering.”

Since 2013, Island residents have been in a position to buy a wildlife conservation plate and the funds from the sale of these plates are donated to the Wildlife Conservation Fund. Conservation plates will nonetheless be obtainable within the new plate design.
Moreover, Island residents may have the brand new choice to buy a Canada’s Meals Island license plate. All proceeds from the sale of those plates will likely be donated to Island Meals Banks.
The associated fee will stay at $5 for a brand new license plate and $10 for a conservation or Canada’s Meals Island plate and will likely be obtainable in late December 2022 at Entry PEI places throughout the province. Individuals is not going to be required to buy a brand new design plate upon renewal if their present plate is in good situation.
