Cam Barker will probably be behind the bench through the Male U16’s slate of video games in February
Cam Barker, the assistant coach of the Penticton Vees and nine-year NHL defenceman, will probably be becoming a member of Group BC on the 2023 Canada Winter Video games in Prince Edward Island this winter.
Barker has been named as an assistant coach for the Male U16 crew, only one season faraway from starting his profession behind the bench with the Vees previous to the 2021-2022 season.
The 36-year-old defenceman performed for 4 totally different groups throughout his NHL profession, after he was chosen third general by the Chicago Blackhawks within the first spherical of the 2004 entry draft.
Barker’s U16 team in P.E.I. is scheduled to play from Feb. 18 to 25.
The previous first-round decide would be the Vees’ solely illustration on the multi-sport occasion.
Barker’s profession features a stint with the Vancouver Canucks through the NHL’s lockout-shortened season in 2012-2013.
