P.E.I. man charged with impaired driving after hitting pedestrian in Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 61-year-old man is dealing with impaired driving costs after hitting a pedestrian in Charlottetown on Might 26.

Charlottetown Police Companies responded to the car and pedestrian crash on the St. Peters Street and Francis Lane intersection at round 9 p.m.

Police mentioned the car travelling north on St. Peters Street hit a pedestrian that was crossing close to the intersection.

The pedestrian sustained critical however non-life-threatening accidents and is recovering in hospital.

Police famous that whereas talking to the motive force, officers decided he was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.

The York man was charged with impaired operation of a motorized vehicle and set to look in provincial courtroom at a later date.
