P.E.I. man arrested after Prince District JFO seizes drugs, money
The Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) Drug Unit arrested a 63-year-old man on July 25 and seized medicine and cash in Summerside.
Members of the unit stopped a car throughout a focused site visitors cease on Jennifer Road as a part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Throughout a search of the car and the driving force, police seized greater than an oz. of what’s believed to be cocaine, in addition to cash.
A Summerside man was arrested on the scene. He was later launched and is to look in provincial courtroom in Summerside at a later date.
Subsequent to the arrest, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Summerside and seized further portions of what’s believed to be cocaine, in addition to drug trafficking paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing.
The Prince District JFO Drug Unit is comprised of members from the Prince District RCMP, Summerside Police Providers and Kensington Police Providers.
