One in custody after armed standoff in Victoria, B.C. – BC

Victoria police stated an hours-long armed standoff ended Saturday night time with the one individual in custody.
Officers have been referred to as to a house close to Mason and Quadra streets round 6:30 p.m. for reviews of an individual in disaster who had harmed themselves and was refusing medical consideration.
When police arrived, they realized the individual had suffered a self-inflicted neck damage and had barricaded themselves inside the house.

The Larger Victoria Emergency Response Workforce was referred to as in, and labored to resolve the incident peacefully over the course of a number of hours.
Police say simply after 10 p.m., the person armed themselves and tried to interact officers on the entrance door of the house.
Officers used less-lethal munitions to disarm the individual and take them into custody.

The suspect suffered non-life-threatening accidents and was taken to hospital for medical analysis and psychological well being care.
