David Irving Goldrup 1933 – 2022 BRIDGTON – David Irving Goldrup, of Bridgton, Maine, handed away along with his loving household by his facet on Nov. 15, 2022. He was born July 19, 1933 in Freeport, Maine, the son of Henry Milton Goldrup and Elizabeth Emily Libby. He graduated from Freeport Excessive Faculty in 1951, in addition to Bentley College, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Boston, Massachusetts. Upon commencement from Bentley, he entered the U. S. Military, serving at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the eleventh Airborne and one hundred and first Airborne Divisions as a paratrooper and member of the Fort Campbell Honor Guard Firm. He continued to take care of friendships with fellow Honor Guard members at annual reunions all through america. Upon returning to civilian life in 1956, David accepted a place with the Wirthmore Feed Firm of their retail administration program turning into supervisor of their Charlestown, New Hampshire retail retailer. Whereas on this group he was energetic within the native Rotary Membership. Returning to Maine in 1960, David took a place with Hannaford Brothers Co. Accounting Division, liable for a variety of member shops in Maine and New Hampshire. In 1962 the operation of the Desert of Maine returned to the household and for 15 years he assumed the place of basic supervisor. After retirement, he continued to do tax work as an AARP tax volunteer. He was energetic in lots of group and civic organizations together with the Jaycees, the Scottish and York Ceremony: David was a member of the Freeport Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. having served as Grasp in 1982 and as a member of the Board of Administrators of the Freeport Historic Society. He was energetic within the tv ministry of his church and as a director of Christian radio station WMSJ. He was very energetic in pursuing his household family tree which included seven Mayflower passengers. he married the love of his life, Lorraine Mae Snow, of Orr’s Island, Maine on July 19, 1954, having not too long ago celebrated their 68 th anniversary. Of their later years David and Lorraine moved to Bridgton, Maine, making many new mates and having fun with journeys to Prince Edward Island and Moosehead Lake along with his household. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Henry and Elizabeth Goldrup and sisters, Judith Goldrup Watson, Annabel Goldrup Blair and Karen Goldrup. He’s survived by his spouse, Lorraine Goldrup and daughters, Gayle Marie Goldrup Elliot and husband James Pinkerton, Linda Susan Goldrup, grandson, Ryan David Elliot, brothers Henry Goldrup and Paul Goldrup, and lots of nieces and nephews.
