New public transit route connects western P.E.I. to Islandwide network

A brand new public transit route connecting Prince County residents with the Island’s capital might be launching in April.

The brand new rural route will run twice every day between Tignish and Charlottetown beginning April 19. The journey will make stops in Summerside, Borden-Carelton and different south shore communities.

One other new transit route will present inter-community transit all through the West Prince area to assist Islanders in want of getting forwards and backwards from faculty, work or different important providers.

Transportation Minister James Aylward mentioned having an Island-wide transportation community will cut back each carbon emissions and transportation obstacles for folks in rural communities.
