Murray River man arrested after standoff with P.E.I. RCMP

MURRAY RIVER, P.E.I. — A 62-year-old Murray River man is going through threats and firearms expenses following a standoff with police in the neighborhood on July 30. 

The RCMP was first alerted to the scenario at 6:30 p.m., after they acquired a report of a gun being pointed at an different particular person. On arrival, the officers secured the property and ensured that no one else was within the dwelling.

After a number of hours of negotiations, the person surrendered to police with out incident at round midnight. Mounties seized a loaded prohibited revolver.

The person was scheduled to look in provincial court docket on July 31, going through threats and firearm-related expenses. 

RCMP famous that no public alert was issued because the scenario was efficiently contained and there was no menace to the general public.
