Mickey Mouse display earns Canadian balloon twisting team 5 world awards

A Romeo and Juliet show depicting Mickey and Minnie Mouse created out of 1000’s of balloons earned the Canadian balloon twisting crew 5 technical problem awards on the World Balloon Conference in California.

The crew used 21,500 balloons and the construct took 27 hours.

Canada’s Twisted Group — which is made up of individuals from Edmonton, Montreal, Kitchener, Ont.; Richmond Hill, Ont.; Surrey, B.C.; and Burnaby, B.C. — earned a bronze within the giant sculpture class.

Derek Wong of Richmond Hill was acknowledged for 3 items he did in separate classes. He acquired silver for a hat, a 12-minute determine and bronze for a fancy dress.
