Meachem opens mixed curling championships with win in Saskatchewan
Shaun Meachem of Cabri, a small city positioned in southwest Saskatchewan, is “the man” this week on the Canadian Blended Curling Championship.

Meachem scored two within the second finish, stole singles within the third and fourth, surrendered singles within the fifth and sixth ends, and scored as soon as within the seventh to wrap up the opener.
Within the night draw, Grant Odishaw’s New Brunswick staff rocked Nunavut 9-2 in six ends, Paul Flemming’s Nova Scotia crew edged Trevor Bonot’s Northern Ontario staff 6-4, and Corey Chambers’ Manitoba staff tripped Prince Edward Island 7-6.
There are three attracts scheduled for Monday.
