Man faces firearm charges following standoff in Tryon, P.E.I.
TRYON, P.E.I. — P.E.I. – A 24-year-old man is going through a slew of costs, together with a number of firearm offences, following an incident in Tryon.
P.E.I. RCMP mentioned police had been known as to a home on Tryon Mill Highway at about 8:40 a.m. on April 14 following studies of a disturbance on the house.
Upon arrival, police mentioned an armed man had barricaded himself inside the house and refused to co-operate with police.
Police decided the person to be no risk to the general public, and Mounties had been capable of safely arrest the person with out incident round 10:30 a.m.
A search of the house led to the seizure of three unsecured firearms and numerous kinds of ammunition.
Ryan MacDonald was in Summerside provincial courtroom on April 14 and charged with three counts of possession of a weapon for a harmful function, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm realizing its unauthorized, three counts of unsafe firearm storage, two counts of assault, two counts of careless use of a firearm and a cost of uttering threats.
He was saved in police custody and is scheduled to return to courtroom on June 20.
The investigation is ongoing.
