Man arrested, cocaine, methamphetamine seized during Summerside drug bust
SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A Summerside man is dealing with drug costs after police seized greater than a pound of cocaine from a house within the metropolis on Wednesday.
Officers with the Prince District Joint Pressure Operation (JFO) Unit executed a search warrant at residence on Central Road as a part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. A 30-year-old man was arrested on the scene.
In the course of the search, officers seized greater than a pound of cocaine, 70 methamphetamine tablets, over $4,000 money, a prohibited weapon, ammunition and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
The person was held in custody and was scheduled to look in Summerside provincial courtroom Thursday to face costs, together with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the aim of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition whereas being on a weapon prohibition order, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and breach of probation.
The Prince District JFO unit is made up of members of the Prince District RCMP, Summerside Police Companies and Kensington Police Companies.
