Investigations underway after fish kill reported in Morell

MORELL, P.E.I. — P.E.I. setting officers are investigating after a fish kill within the Morell River.

Conservation officers and setting officers responded to a report of lifeless trout on Friday, Aug. 12, stated the P.E.I.’s Atmosphere Division in a information launch.

Officers stated the affect was localized to the Morell River’s east department.

The province collected and delivered samples to Atmosphere Canada for laboratory testing and requested the federal Division of Fisheries and Oceans to shut the impacted part to angling.
