Katherine Dewar hosting two talks about P.E.I. women war veterans
CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Award-winning creator Katherine Dewar will give two talks about P.E.I. ladies who served within the Second World Warfare in September.
On Sunday, Sept. 4, as a part of the Sir. Andrew Macphail lunch and lecture collection, Dewar will talk about her newest e book, We’ll Meet Once more: Prince Edward Island Ladies of the Second World Warfare.
Dewar will inform the story of nursing sister Kathleen MacLeod from Kinross who served on the battlefields of France, Holland and Belgium. For her effort, MacLeod was awarded the Royal Purple Cross by King George VI at Buckingham Palace.
