Salt Lake Metropolis, Utah-based artist Justin Wheatley captures the nostalgic spirit of American suburbia together with his work. Describing them as “portraits of homes which have tales to inform,” Wheatley finds magnificence within the neighborhoods he has lived in. “Suburbia is such an fascinating place,” he says. “There are people who find themselves always maintaining with one another, those that couldn’t care much less, and people who you marvel in the event that they even exist.” As a trainer at an alternate faculty in Salt Lake Metropolis, Wheatley typically finds himself in conversations about suburban tradition, which solely add to his intrigue. He hopes his portraits do the identical for the viewer.
