Japan PM tells ministers to continue sanctions vs Russia, support Ukraine

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida instructed his cupboard ministers to proceed diplomatic responses, together with sanctions, towards Russia, whereas backing Ukraine, by protecting shut coordination with the Group of Seven nations, the finance minister stated on Tuesday.

“We are going to proceed to work intently with G7 and worldwide neighborhood following the prime minister’s directions and reply appropriately,” Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki informed reporters.

The ministers didn’t focus on any new sanctions, he added.
