WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The congressional committee investigating the lethal Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol will maintain a listening to on the night of July 14, an individual acquainted with the matter stated on Thursday.
The listening to would be the second one to happen subsequent week and is aimed toward reaching a broad tv viewers throughout prime viewing hours.
Some committee members, together with Republican Consultant Liz Cheney, have argued that former President Donald Trump ought to be held criminally answerable for allegedly encouraging the assault on the Capitol by his supporters, by which a number of individuals died.
